Course Description:
For Arts Specialists only – Participants MUST attend all three sessions.

(Visual Art, Music, Dance, Theater)

Arts Teachers in all disciplines (Visual Art, Music, Dance, Drama) will be guided on collecting evidence of student achievement in the Arts and documenting student progress. Unit plan overviews, lesson goals, content charts, criteria for work, rubrics, Venn diagrams, student self-reporting charts, and performance activities that constitute an embedded assessment, will be presented and discussed, from which Arts Teachers can select tools appropriate to their needs. The workshop will also present strategies for student self assessment according to criteria established in class so that students may articulate what they are learning and what their next steps in artistic growth should be.
