Course Description:
This 3-Day Institute will examine the Principles of Behavior and their use in teaching communication to Students with Autism throughout the school day. Topics will include characteristics of Autism, how to create a motivating environment to teach communication, the functions of language, strategies for teaching requesting and initiation, reinforcement, using the ABLLS to plan instruction, teaching procedures, data collection, Natural Environment Teaching, and Intensive Teaching.
