Course Description: This 2-day workshop will examine the process of planning for a successful transition to adult life for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Hands-on activities and discussion will revolve around: Students' deep and focused interests; vocational assessments; page 10 of the Individualized Education Plan; self-advocacy; digital resumes; community integration; independent living skills and lesson planning.
REQUIREMENT: Bring a written profile that describes the preferred activities & interests, skills related to functional reading (labels, signs, recipes), and math (measuring, time and money) of a Student between the ages of 14-21.
