Course Description:
Hazard Communication/Right-To-Know standard requires each school to have a Site Safety Officer and a Site Safety Administrator under the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard. These persons are designated by the Principal to ensure that the school is in compliance with the requirements of the Hazard Communication Standard and the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard. The Site Safety Officer and the Site Safety Administrator will be required to attend an annual training by the Office of Occupational Safety and Health and will provide training to the faculty at their site. This training is a necessary step that must be taken prior to staff participation in the Hepatitis B Vaccination Series.
