Course Description:
ESL and Bilingual Teachers will be shown how to draw from Students’ prior knowledge and life experience, via the Learning Experience Approach, in using multi-cultural literature and historical events to inspire seed ideas and memoir prompts to assist Students in Alternate Assessment to develop their personal writing style. Participants will be introduced to Bibliotherapy as a way in which to deconstruct information dealing with their memoir.
Participants are expected to attend all four sessions of this institute: 10/16/09, 12/18/09, 04/23/10 & 06/04/10.
