District 75 PD Program Information

District 75’s mission embraces the belief that quality professional development for staff is essential in order to best meet the needs of our students. To that end, we provide a wide range of professional development opportunities to all staff members in each of our 58 schools, to the hundreds of related service providers that work with our students, to district based personnel, to parents and to schools within the newly created Empowerment Zone.

Our professional development mirrors our student body and is very diversified. We provide information pertaining to the newest developments in the field of Autism, Literacy, Math, Technology and Positive Behavior Supports in addition to reinforcing the strategies that inform our teaching. There is an emphasis on differentiating instruction to diverse learning of our students. Consultants are often invited to work with staff during professional development sessions as well as side-by-side, in our classrooms, across the city. All professional development sessions are collegial and include opportunities for participants to interact with one another and to engage in purposeful conversations.
