D75-19-156: Virtual Voyages
Instructional Technology (STEM), Science (STEM), Social Studies 2019/2020

Description: Virtual and augmented reality may seem futuristic and impractical, but we will show you reasonable concrete ways you can bring them into your classroom today without further spending. Why? Because our students struggle with challenges to fully access the world around them. With extra reality, we can bring that to life. All it takes is imagination and a willing spirit. Other Tools will range from Google Cardboard and Google Expeditions to the Oculus Rift and 360 videos. We will also explore using AR software like Aurasma on mobile devices to enhance learning. A certificate will be issued upon completion of the course. CTLE credit is available. This addresses ISTE Educator Standards 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
