Description: This full-day professional learning is focused on Explicit Instruction. During the morning session, participants will explore the core tenets of Explicit Instruction, understand the research backing this approach, and examine the positive impact it has on student outcomes, especially those with a history of learning difficulties. In the afternoon, the focus will shift to Explicit Instruction in Social Studies. Participants will explore evidence-based strategies and structured methods that support students in developing strong analyzing, sourcing, contextualization, and corroboration skills.
