Description: This professional learning session addresses the Science of Reading as it relates to Phonemic Awareness and Phonics. We will make connections between theory and practice with a focus on explicit and systematic instruction by examining how core curricula utilized in District 75 align with the Science of Reading across tiers of instruction. Educators will learn strategies to assist students in the application of letter-sound correspondences.
