D75-18-206: Professional Learning Series for ELL teachers, administrators, classroom teachers, and related service providers: Supporting the Language Acquisition of ELLs with Disabilities through the Visual and Performing Arts
English Language Learners 2018/2019
Description: This session will demonstrate how incorporating the visual and performing arts into the instruction of ELLs provides them with access to new entry points to learning and the ability to express themselves in the classroom. The arts offer individuals working with students with disabilities new insights, as well as increased awareness of students' other abilities, and how they can grow in meaningful ways through the arts. This CTLE approved session may be used toward the 15% CR Part 154 PD requirement on ELL topics for non-ENL and non-bilingual teachers (as well as a Jose P. Training Part 2 session), and toward the 50% CR Part 154 PD requirement for ENL and bilingual teachers.
