Description: Have you ever wondered how to increase student independence in your early childhood classroom? Get ready to enliven your early childhood classroom environment through this hands-on interactive workshop! Learn how to foster student independence by applying early child development techniques when designing your instruction to meet the individual needs of your students. Learn how to plan intentional, experiential, developmentally and culturally appropriate practices when designing centers and work stations and watch your students become independent, lifelong learners. This course will also address the adult role in providing a safe and stimulating environment for the development of very young children and early learners. Teachers will learn how to design and implement instruction that aligns to the Danielson Framework, including a variety of methods and materials techniques for observing and tracking student behaviors. Teachers will be exposed to methods and materials to assist young children in the learning process. Participants will be expected to complete assignments, and show ongoing classroom evidence of district professional development content.
