Description: This virtual 90-minute synchronous session will provide participants with practical skills and a high-level understanding of pedagogical approaches to teaching writing. This session will address the fundamental principles of writing instruction and the systems and structures that support daily writing. We will examine the genres of writing, measures for evaluating student writing, the process of developing writing, and methods for implementing writing instruction in order to help young writers grow. We will explore the connection between the content in this workshop and how it aligns with the curricula of Readtoipia and HMH.
