English Language Learners 2025/2026

Description: Teachers will boost their instructional toolkit with practical, research-based strategies to help English language learners with disabilities acquire the vocabulary they need to thrive socially and academically. This session will explore effective approaches for explicit vocabulary instruction, contextualized learning, and meaningful practice that supports comprehension and language growth. Participants will learn how to select high-impact words, scaffold word-learning skills, and create engaging activities that help learners retain and use new vocabulary confidently. Teachers will walk away with practical resources and a deeper understanding of how to create inclusive, language-rich classrooms where all learners can thrive.
