Description: This two-day professional learning series aims to offer teachers additional support, following their attendance at an official Fundations training, provided by Central. Additional support will be provided in the use of the Wilson Prevention Learning Community (PLC) online.
***Participants are required to have a complete Fundations kit in their classrooms and must bring their manual, large sound cards, and one magnetic tile board (set up and ready to use) to the session. Participants are also required to complete the survey that will be sent in the confirmation email, prior to the first day of the workshop.
*This professional learning series includes follow up coaching support for participants. Session 1: Fundations in D75 - an Overview of the Program: This session will focus heavily on the procedural activities outlined in Levels K and 1. Teachers will engage in demonstration of standard activities, practice in implementation of procedural activities, lesson planning, and video viewing of specific learning activities. Session 2: Fundations in D75 - Providing Access for Diverse Learners: Adaptations that maintain fidelity to the program will be shared and discussed in order to make the curriculum most accessible to all learners.
