Description: This 1 day workshop will be a follow-up session for those who have already attended the two-day puppetry workshop. Participants will discuss and present how they have utilized puppets to engage elementary students with Autism. This training is only for related service counselors and clinicians working with elementary school populations. Prerequisite requirement - two-day puppetry workshop. Skills discussed in this training are 1b Demonstrating Knowledge of Students, 2a Creating an Environment of Respect and Rapport, 2b Establishing a Culture for Learning, 3a Communicating with Students, 3b Using Questioning and Discussion Techniques, 3e Demonstrating Flexibility and Responsiveness, 4e Growing and Developing Professionally, 4f Showing Professionalism
