D75-26-208: Assessment of Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing in Schools: A Framework for Related Service Providers: FALL
Feeding 2026/2027

Description: This comprehensive 1-day professional development teaches Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), and Physical Therapists (PTs) how to clinically identify and evaluate students with feeding challenges. The course covers analysis of feeding difficulties across sensory, oral motor, gross motor, fine motor, and behavioral domains. Participants will master the core components of a collaborative interdisciplinary feeding assessment, write SMART goals, create mealtime plans, and track progress using data collection. Participants MUST bring a video clip capturing a student during a typical mealtime, that highlights a specific feeding or mealtime concern. Attendees will work in groups to analyze these videos, apply the learned assessment framework, and draft targeted SMART goals for featured students.
