Description: Looking for another way to make math meaningful for your students? Put those LEGO bricks to use! Participants will explore all of the possible ways that we can use LEGO to engage our students in math. LEGO is such a versatile tool that it can be used to explore numeracy, computation, perimeter and area, patterns, measurement, fractions, ratio, place value, spacial awareness and much more! We will discuss how to apply best teaching practices with this tool, plan activities and develop instructional tools that will best support student learning outcomes.
