Mathematics (STEM) 2018/2019
Description: In this series of workshops, The Art of Mathematics, participants will look at how art and math coexist. This workshop is for art and math teachers who want to use cross-curricular instruction to enhance student learning and participation. Through an artistic lens, we will look at the math Common Core Standards and Essential Elements and develop lessons that are adapted and engaging. Teachers will take part in different hands-on activities that align to math and art concepts to begin adjusting their approach to math instruction. The goal is for teachers to collaborate, so teams of Art and Math teachers from the same school are encouraged to come together. This is also listed in the ART section.
