D75-19-280: Assessment and Mangement of Students with Feeding and Swallowing Issues in the School Setting
Feeding 2019/2020

Description: This 2-day workshop is for speech therapists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. This workshop takes an in depth look at the processes of assessment and treatment, and management techniques for students with pediatric feeding disorders and dysphagia. The workshop will utilize videos and case studies to explore topics that include, but are not limited to: the importance of assessment in the school setting, assessment strategies, guidelines for referrals, intervention goals and management needs, mealtime vs. therapy plans, and treatment strategies for motor, sensory and behavioral feeding difficulties. **This workshop is recommended for 2nd year speech therapists, but is open to ALL therapists 3rd year and above. This course will be presented by the District 75 Feeding Team: Kimberly McInnis, DPT, and Samantha Eletz SLP.
