D75-18-351: SLP's Role in Supporting Literacy
Speech 2018/2019
Description: This is a full day course for speech providers and all classroom staff are invited. Newly hired speech providers are required to register. The Common Core Learning Standards consider Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening and Language as modalilties to teach skills across content areas. Everyone is responsible for teaching reading, writing, comprehension and thinking. Classroom strategies and activites that are designed to meet your students' literacy needs will be demonstrated and practiced. Populations: 12:1:1 and 8:1:1. A certificate will be issued upon completion of the course.
