Inclusive Education 2019/2020
Description: Nuts and Bolts is a 5 day institute with an additional getting started date that is offered to teachers of any grade who are new to providing special education services to students in inclusive settings. Nuts and Bolts Institute teaches inclusive philosophy, developing an inclusive IEP, specially designed instruction around curriculum adaptations, behavior interventions and transition related skills. The institute assists educators to build their knowledge of their students to support them in being able to fully access core instruction and curriculum utilized in their general education classes. Paraprofessionals, general education colleagues, administrators, teams or anyone wanting a review of the topics are also welcomed. We recommend that participants attend all five days of the institute. If you have a disability and require any accommodations, please contact the instructors for the course.
