D75-18-518: Therapeutic Approach to Sensory, Motor and Behavioral Based Limited Diets- Fall
Feeding 2018/2019

Description: This course was formally known as Sensory Based Feeding Disorders. This 2 day workshop is for teachers, CSS speech therapists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists working with students who appear to have feeding difficulties that result in a limited diet that may include picky eaters, problem feeders, or non-eaters. These issues are often seen in children on the Autism spectrum or children who have been tube-fed. Classroom teachers and paraprofessionals may also attend, and we strongly recommend teams to attend. Possible causes, contributing factors, assessment and current treatments will be discussed. Medical, sensory, motor and behavioral factors contributing to these mealtime challenges will also be reviewed. CEUs will be offered to participants. **Required for 2nd year speech therapists
This course will be presented by: Kimberly McInnis-Wray, DPT, and Samantha Eletz, SLP
