D75-23-4652: A Hands-on Approach for Implementing a School-Based Feeding Program
Feeding 2023/2024

Description: This 2 DAY project based professional development will adapt a Professional Learning Community PLC model  A small group of therapists will work closely with the District 75 Feeding Team to learn handson the stepbystep process of setting up and implementing a feeding program in their school Participants will work as a team to build their program from start to finish which will include setting up their team conducting parent interviews and identifying observing and evaluating students with feeding issues. Based on findings, participants will write IEP goals and implement learned management/treatment strategies REQUIREMENT  Participants will document their experiences and prepare a video and or power point presentation to exchange ideas and to learn enhance best practices for school-based feeding programs  Prerequisites 
Must have attended previous Feeding PDs within last 5 years
Have 2 or more students on your caseload or in your program that has been identified as having feeding issues 
Have an interest in learning how to set up a feeding program in your school 
Be able to attend both days with at least one other therapist or teacher from your school
