Mathematics (STEM) 2018/2019
Description: In this workshop, participants will look at math content through the lens of accessibility. Students in a 12:1:4 or 6:1:1 class may have communication and/or physical impairments that cause them to disengage from learning. Participants will see examples of digital technologies and programmatic devices being used to support mathematical content. We will discuss Dynamic Learning Maps Essential Elements for mathematics and observe ways to integrate accessibility and math. Teachers will be given time to collaborate and develop a lesson or series of lessons that are adapted to fit the needs of their students.
