D75-18-515: School Based Feeding and Swallowing for the Related Service Provider - Fall
Feeding 2018/2019
Description: This 1 day introductory workshop is for Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists.This workshop reviews contributing factors that impact feeding, basic assessment of systems effecting feeding and introduces strategies for feeding and positioning students with behavioral, motor and sensory difficulties at mealtime. Topics include, but will not be limited to, programmatic and IEP driven mealtime plans, oral motor issues, swallowing, the effects of sensory processing on mealtime, self-feeding, adaptive feeding equipment and principles regarding proper positioning. **This workshop is required for first year speech therapists. This course will be presented by: The District 75 Feeding Team.
