Description: This is a 3 day basic FBA course to review the foundations of Functional Behavioral Assessment and procedures for developing, implementing, and progress monitoring BIPs. Participants will learn when and how to develop an FBA and BIP. Recommended participants are related service counselors, clinicians, administrators, and any school staff involved in the FBA process. Participants are expected to bring an FBA, BIP, and Progress Monitoring for one student with whom they work. Skills discussed in this training are aligned with 1b-Demonstrating Knowledge of Students; 2a- Creating an Environment of Respect and Rapport; 2c-Managing Classroom Procedures; 2d-Managing Student Behavior; 2e-Organizing Physical Space; 3b-Using Questioning and Discussion Techniques ; 4d- Participating in the Professional Community; 4e- Growing and Developing Professionally; 4f-Showing Professionalism.
