D75-18-353: Enhancing Language & Pragmatic Skills within Applied Learning Tasks
Speech 2018/2019

Description: This is a two-day workshop series for classroom teams (teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers). It will focus on applied learning; the skill set our students need to apply the knowledge gained in school through project based learning activities. Skills include communication tools and techniques, problem solving and pragmatics. One day one, participants will learn about the benefits of project based learning and be given time to plan a project for their students. They will be expected to implement the project based learning activity with a classroom, speech group, or an entire school. On day 2, teams will share their projects with the other participants. CEUs are being offered. A certificate will be issued upon completion of the course.
