Description: This one-day workshop will focus on how to create, implement, and increase student understanding through Math Workstations that engage students in early number sense activitiessuch as counting, number recognition, part-whole awareness, magnitude, and beginning of place value. Participants will see examples of math workstation environments, engage with hands-on activities at the various stations, and break-down the steps for creating and maintaining a math workstation. All activities will be age appropriate for any students working on early number skills. This workshop will reflect 1a, 1e, 3c, and 4e of the Danielson Framework for Teaching.
