Description: This 1 day workshop for new counselors addresses the role of a counselor, counseling day to day activities, IEP driven counseling services and Chancellor's Regulations. Required participants for this training include any counselors hired between January to September 2018 within District 75. Participants are expected to bring their updated counseling schedule. Skills discussed in this training are aligned with 1b-Demonstrating Knowledge of Students; 2a- Creating an Environment of Respect and Rapport; 2c-Managing Classroom Procedures; 2d-Managing Student Behavior; 2e-Organizing Physical Space; 4f-Showing Professionalism
