Arts, Speech 2019/2020
Description: Participants will develop and deepen their understanding of autism and multiple disabilities to proactively enhance student learning through structuring classroom environments, activities, and systems in the Elementary classroom. Using the Visual Arts Blueprint as the content focus, we will engage in hands-on activities, discuss the accommodations and adaptations needed in order to increase independent hands-on experiences. Additionally, we will discuss vocabulary tiers, effective questioning strategies, programmatic devices and picture communication to reach all levels of learners.
