Counseling 2018/2019
Description: In this 1 day workshop participants will be given a brief overview of depression followed by strategies in implementing an evidence-based treatment for students with depression in schools. This workshop is only for counseling related service providers. Participants are required to provide one strategy they are currently using with students who have depression. Skills discussed in this training are aligned with 1b-Demonstrating Knowledge of Students; 2a- Creating an Environment of Respect and Rapport; 2c-Managing Classroom Procedures; 2d-Managing Student Behavior; 2e-Organizing Physical Space; 4f-Showing Professionalism.
