D75-19-410: Enhancing Language & Pragmatic Skills within Applied Learning Tasks
Speech 2019/2020

Description: This is a two-day workshop series for classroom teams (teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers). It will focus on applied learning; the skill set our students need to apply the knowledge gained in school through project-based learning activities. Skills include communication tools and techniques, problem solving and pragmatics. One day one, participants will learn about the benefits of project-based learning and be given time to plan a project for their students. They will be expected to implement the project based learning activity with a classroom, speech group, or an entire school. On day 2, teams will share their projects with the other participants. CEUs are being offered. A certificate will be issued upon completion of the course.
