PBIS 2018/2019
Description: Cohort 1: Who should participate: District 75 schools are invited to send up to three (3) key staff members who function as PBIS Internal Coaches, School-based TCI trainers, Administrators, Behavior Specialists and/or members of the Behavior Team. These individuals will be responsible for the planning, training and implementation of the behavior supports systems and practices in their respective schools. In order to build capacity in schools, it is highly recommended that the same staff member(s) attend all three (3) sessions. Topics to be explored in this series include:
- The role of the Behavior Team Members (i.e. Administrator, PBIS Internal Coaches and/or TCI School-based Trainers, Behavior Specialists) in facilitating and designing positive behavior support in a multi-tiered system
- Gain skills on coaching /facilitating efficient team meetings
- Gain understanding on the use of data for decision making (Tier 1, 2 & 3)
- Proactive instructional approach to teaching and improving social behaviors
- Develop skills in the application of TCI concepts, skills and techniques across the 3-tiered system
- Network with other coaches / facilitators to discuss effective practices
